I am thinking of buying the visconti or fa20club ecutek tunes but also heard that you get better results from a local tuner who can adjust the tune on the fly based off dyno runs.
The only authorized ECUtek tuning in the DFW area is AWD tuning. http://www.awdtuning.com/

Talking to Keith, it's 300 for the license and 350 for the tune. The reason it's so expensive is due to the fact it takes 15 mins to reflash the computer currently.

If you want to have mods done tho, I would say Jotech. They were one of the top ranked tuners in the nation (4th) and they have done all my cars since 2005. They are currently not ECUtek certified because not enough people with our cars are showing an interest for them to have to invest in getting certified.

http://jotechracing.com/

If you go to Jotech, Tony is the sales manager and usually the guy at the front desk. Tell them that Josh in the red FRS sent you.

Car scratch

Well after 8 weeks, got my first very noticable scratches. 3 of em, looks like someone brushed up hard against the drivers side front panel while parked in my apt complex. 2 light and 1 deep scratch. Any advice on whats best to use remove em. I have X scratch (i think thats what its called). Never used the stuff though.

Anyone know of a place to get Carbon Fiber side vents? I was going to wrap the 86 logo area but apparently it's not good to rap it.

Sorry can't be of any help here but I'm interested to see what everyone says. I'm gonna order a starter kit from Adams Polish online for regular wash/wax use. I know we need the rain but I'm ready for a few straight sunny days to get this thing cleaned up nice.

I tried the scratch X but its too deep. Gonna run over to Toyota of Dallas after work and see what they think. I want them to have a look at the 3M paint protection film on the hood, so might as well kill 2 birds with one stone.

I looked into the paint protection film also. Before you make any final decisions, you might compare the 3M to the XPel Ultimate that Clear Bra in Carrollton uses. I trolled some of the other forums and a lot of great reviews on the XPel brand.

The 3M was already on the Car when I bought it. I liked the idea of it being on there, but after 8 weeks, in certain areas on the hood its come away a bit on the edges and looks tacky. Shouldnt be doing that already.

It really shows is the car is even a little dusty. The dust gathers at the seam and you have a straight line across

I would actually like to see your car sometime. U have a fully built motor and if I remember correctly your FI now. Which I plan on doing here shortly. Last time I was at AWDtunning Will was at Crawford learning how to do machine work.

But yea, I'm stationed in Tinker OK, but I make I down almost every weekend to help my mother out.
