Greddy Evo 3 or Injen SES
I cant decide between the two, and I wanna know what you guys think. I know that the only opinion that should matter is mine, but I wanna know if there is any Evo3 or SES exhaust owners that would go back and get a different exhaust if they could. Pros? Cons? If you have a different exhaust, how do you like it?

I have the Evo3 and absolutely love it. The removable silencers make it even better. You can tone it down by leaving in the silencers, or really open it up by taking them out. I wouldn't change my exhaust at all. I know that's a little vague so I would try to look up videos of the two. Sorry I don't have any.

I have the injen ses on my 86 and it's amazing. It's no more than 95db (says injen) and it makes the car sound as sporty and mean as it looks.
Like all videos and photos in the world - the real thing in person is so much different to any YouTube video I have seen. It sounds like an expensive twin tip cannon, exhaust system. It has a deep growl and is very loud! I'm used to it after a month but my friends say it is still very loud haha! I was tossing between these two systems my self. The only reason I would get the evo 3 over this is you can make it quieter. The only drone you get from it is hovering on 1500-2000 rpm from 2nd - 6th (in manual) and its at its loudest from 6500-7400 (redline) The best thing I love about It though it dropping it to second in a tunnel and redlining it to third gear !!! Last bit of advise - go to a brz/frs/86 meet and look at what others have and try decide there

I have the Greddy evo3 and it's a solid exhaust system. The piping diameter is larger than most of the competition at 2.75" versus 2.36" or 2.5". This allows some room for when/if you go forced induction. I'm not sure of the diameter of the Injen exhaust, but I do know that it's significantly more expensive by ~$250-300. You'd be one of the few with that exhaust though.

I got the greddy evo three exhaust and I love it. It gives a very deep growl and I think it would sound badass if paired with a uel header.

Yeah I just started tuning my car the past few weeks. I have also ordered the RevWorks UEL headers. You'll notice a little more power with the tune and a full exhaust kit. But I bought the Evo3 because of price, looks, and sound. Hope that helps.

Very satisfied EVO 3 owner here as well. Of all the exhausts out there it is my favorite sounding and I have heard a lot in person. It does have a very low bass tone to it which can reverberate in the cabin in certain RPM ranges. With the silencers in the car is nearly stock sounding as far as db are concerned. Still sounds good even with them in but honestly I have only really ran with them twice since owning it and prefer them out. I think a lot of it comes to preference but the EVO 3 really does have a very unique and pleasant tone.

You have the injen SRI, I was wondering what your input on that is! I've got mixed feelings about it after hearing some people facing the idle issue. Sorry for all the questions! |
