Time for another Frs in the family - Dealership Recommendation in SoCal

Greetings Guys

i don't where i should start, but me and a few family members ( Cousins) are international students here in the states and been living and visiting the states for some time. Sadly one of them ended up crashing his g37 and what makes it worst is it wasn't fully covered ( his fault ). The car needs a lot of money to be fixed so its getting parted out or sold as it to any workshop.

And now to the important part . After he drove my Frs for a while he literally hated the feel of the 37 and fell in love with the 86. So right now we are looking for a dealership to get another frs for him. i picked up mine from Ontario and I wasn't pleased with them so maybe you guys could recommend something else, and a person specially in a such dealership ?

It doesn't look that bad, but after further inspection it is . In addition i hated it good thing its gone

Thanks

Jeff Chang at Longo Scion in El Monte. No BS. He's very straight forward, doesn't add any options. Great guy to work with. I believe they receive more FR-S cars than anyone in the state (possibly nation).

I drove up from Temecula, and couldn't be happier with the transaction.

hey how's it going everyone just wanted to know if you guys knew a dealer that i would be able to get approved in so-cal or that helps people like me out ? I have no credit history that's the only problem. I just want the base model no extras going to be my DD and I'm tired of old 90s cars need something reliable I'm 21 by the way.
thanks

I don't know a dealer that would help you out, but this was my experience, hopefully it gives you a better picture somehow. This is the first car I bought on my own. When I went in, I only had maybe 5 months of established credit which is virtually nothing. Before they gave me my APR, they asked if I had a steady source of income. Which I do, and I estimated how much I made a month and wrote it down on a piece of paper. They went to go check my credit history then they came back with the proposed APR and also asked if I could fax them my last 2 current paychecks whenever I could. The rate I got was I think 2.85% I'm not sure.

2 weeks after receiving my car, they reduced my APR to 2.75%

I went to West Covina Toyota.

I'm not sure how it works if you're self-employed, I think they'll just give you a higher APR when you finance.

No papers to sign Once I got out of the car, the sales people were waiting like hungry dogs, and one of them said "May I help you" and I said "I want to test drive a FRS" and he said "Alright." 1 Minute later I was test driving that baby.

At Longo.. I had to put a deposit in or something? LOL I know some people are recommending you Longo, be sure to ask for the salesman fellow members recommend. I just had a bad salesman, he probably didn't think I was serious about buying it.

The salesman at West Covina wasn't really helpful but he sure did let me do whatever I want to that car, he was basically talking to me about his life and I was just gunning it down which ever way saying "uh-huh, uh-huh" After the test drive I was mostly speaking with the supervisor about financing terms and conditions. No way to haggle the price, just make sure you look at what is installed on your car.

Yes! I agree with TEMECAL as I can vouch for this, Jeff Chang and Tony Yu were very knowledgeable and very helpful.

I'm paying around $345 a month.

Well I don't want to be the reason you drive back and forth, if that many people can vouch for Jeff Chang, maybe you can call in and ask if you could speak with Jeff and ask him if there are any obligations in order for you to test drive it.

A little FYI, Longo is really packed on weekends. West Covina was cool there were 4 - 5 sales man just waiting there in the lot. I went to Longo at 3pm; West Covina at 4pm. (Saturday)
