I still say it will be around 6 seconds. Not fast and not slow.

No, it doesn't make sense.

Nevermind all the weight being transferred OFF the VW's drive wheels at launch.

I'm guessing it barely breaks in the 6's... 6.8.

I agree with you on this. But what I find so funny about 4 cylinder sporty cars is that they only feel fast to me when you're gunning them. I remember in my friends s2k under normal driving it felt like my RSX base but then when he started to gun the engine it totally transformed into a wild beast.

Yeah, a bit slower than the RX8 is my guess. Most people in this thread are overly optimistic.

And the one guy who said that this engine will be more "explosive" than the Renesis is talking out of his ass. Less power and less torque is more explosive I guess.

Ok scion FRS weight is 2601 pounds to 200 HP = 13.0 power to weight ratio

Optimal gearing...where 60 MPH is reached in the top of second gear...and a good torque curve...

This care is going to surprise a bunch of people. Sure it will never be 370Z fast, but I will be just a bit slower than a V6 genny coupe. Think upper 5 secs to lower 6 secs.

The 2012 Honda Civic Si has comparble weight, hp and a little more torque. It runs 0-60 in 6.9 seconds. I would be shocked if a stock FRS/BRZ could best it by a full second to 60mph.

Edit: I better lock down a specific time because everyone else is. I will say MT = 6.5 AT = 6.7 (hey they said it was good!)
RWD should knock off a few tenths of a second 0-60...probably half a second...so 6.4ish

If that's a dry weight it'd curb at over 2800lbs.
