Alright. If possible can we do it in the afternoon? If not then I might have to skip it.

+1, Gonna be out skeet shooting with a couple buddies that morning. If anything, I could probably organize a quick (probably East bay) drive this Saturday (5/18) if there's some interest.

OT, but where do you do that here? Do you know of a place where I can also rent the shotgun?

Not very many, but there are a few. I usually go to the Livermore rod & gun club (http://lprg.org/) but I know there's also places in Martinez and Sunnyvale. Not sure about the other places, but you have to bring your own at Livermore.

Yeah, on 5/18 I could probably do a short drive just not an all day or half day thing like the Hwy 1 drive.

I've added the drive on May 25 to the 86DRIVE events calendar!

If you like skeet shooting. This place changes it up a lot. Different scenarios. A little more than regular skeet shooting but well worth the money once in a while. They have skeet running like rabbits and flying from over head. And you can rent a golf cart if you don't want to walk to each spot.

Coyote Clays is great fun! Imagine playing a round of golf (18 holes) BUT with a shotgun. They rent ($10 if they haven't changed it) but its the clays that will cost $$. Per clay (ceramic discs) costs cents but add that up and miss some (electronic counter) and you're in for a $$ day. Side note, do not advise this place for a meet or a large crowd. They reserve the right to refuse customers esp if their first 1min is a bad impression of you or your crowd. I wish other gun sites held such stringent policies to filter out rift rafts. No pun intended. Manning a gun is serious business.

that sounds really cool! I would like to try it sometime. Maybe a small group can do a drive 'n shoot.

Can't even do a drive this saturday either. Just remembered I had a dentist appointment. So hopefully I can make it to 5/25's drive.

I'm not scheduled for a poker tournament on the 25th so I'm free on that day. It's a strong affirmation, count me inn.

Sure. How small of a group you talking about, like <5? I'd prefer not to drive the FRS, too much distraction

Darn. At this point, the next Saturdays are going to be tough for me. Kids' performances and comps.

OK, so I know you guys love voting on things with the polls... so help us decide what time to do the DRIVE on the 25th.

On May 25, we're driving Pacifica/Hwy 1 and Skyline. What time of day (start - finish)? (pick up to 2 choices)
  • Early (7:30AM - 10AM)
  • Mid-Day (10AM - 12:30PM)
  • Noon (12PM - 2:30PM)
  • Afternoon (2PM - 4:30PM)
  • Evening (5PM - 7:30PM)
  • Sunset (7:30PM - 10PM)
