There you go @Supermassive . Get yours up on eBay for less than $60k and see if you can sell it before he does.

It would make more sense to spend the $50-$60k on a new car with the power like DarkSunrise said.

Now if you want to take an old car like an S14 and put $30K in, that's different.
Remember also, there is no warranty of any kind. I would buy the C7 Bare bone for 55k plus tax. That thing is a beast

comparing to the cost to build a ej25 motor from Crawford, you probably be looking to spend anywhere form $13k to $17k. which is not bad considering, you will be getting reliable, track proven, and warranty that comes with the Crawford. Crawford will take care of you, trust me everyone in Sti forum should know.

now as far as review, that was pretty horrible review. only thing good was to hearing the build from the owner. wish they talked more about actual build

A stock GT500 WILL NOT survive track duty with an experienced driver. It's a street car.

If you like your john boat with wheels.

I'm wondering how the tune works with this set up. If it's consistent and feels OEM.

^ This.

I saw a Boss 302 boil his fluid and glaze his pads at Sebring by the 2nd session. And it's more of a track car than the GT500.

Why is everyone so focused on the price? The fact that they were able to pump out this much power in a 2.0 4cyl/2800lb car is impressive as hell.

I don't have any personal track experience with the GT500, but the new model is supposed to be track-worthy according to Ford, which made repeated lapping a development priority. Compared to the 2012 model, the 2013 has upgraded fuel pump, injectors, clutch, rad fan, three-row intercooler, tranny oil pump, and larger front brembos. The track pack adds transmission cooler, differential cooler, and oil cooler.

Can't vouch for it, but I would think with those upgrades and stock functional vents, it'd be able to stand up to some track abuse. Could be wrong though.

A stock GT-R overheats in the hands of an intermediate level driver. If repeated lapping were a priority, the GT500 would come with race pads, or be offered with it from the factory. They're not.

None of those additions you listed help with keeping the engine itself cool, which is the issue.

I'd love to see the Crawford BRZ on track being driven hard...

Sorry forgot to mention they added additional coolant passages to the engine. There's also a quote floating around out there by SVT's lead engineer saying the track pack GT500 was designed for accomplished drivers who track their cars. I'm sure like most production cars it'll run into some issues eventually on the track in the hands of a good driver (pads like you said look to be an issue), but I think it's a different car from the old GT500 everyone's thinking about. And certainly it'll hold up better to repeated lapping than the CP BRZ, which apparently was overheating in that video just in street driving.
