The reason people are so upset is because this is one sketchy company. they do not know how to handle their audience and I see this as terrible terrible customer service.

I absolutely love the kit but hate the company so much I simply can't give them any money.
I view innovate as more of a middle man. Sprintex has made this style of supercharger for a while but always sold thru a company in the USA to the American market. Any real issues and you should still be able to get in contract with bullet or sprintex. I think innovate is just tired of the criticism from having a falling out with visconti and having to restart the longevity test. Once the kit is released and the customers start defending them again I see their customer service level being just fine. But who knows I could be wrong and stuck on the phone at $5min while paying shipping to and from Australia if I have an issue.

Do Sony post on AV forums about how the design/manufacture of a new TV is coming along? No, we just see the end product and get reviews from people. We're just privileged that other manufacturers on here do. What's the harm in waiting until they have done final testing, are happy and then show the results? Hating a company for doing this is, in my head, just plain stupid reasoning. Surely you'd rather they went away and worked on it after the shootout results, that shows the fact that they care. I've been waiting to see what happens with the Sprintex S/C, on any car, and I'm happy to do so....
There was a supercharger company called redshift that was developing for the RSX. On the forums, we would get updates and whatnot every so often on how the kit was going. Meanwhile, tons of turbo kits were released, and quite a few twinscrew superchargers. Many people stood behind redshift and said that they would release it when they are ready.

I think the final kit was released after the production run of the RSX ended (2002 - 2006), because after I left the RSX world in 2009 they were still in development but now it appears they have a kit available at last!

::edit

Kit not available, still in development it looks like

I think I have good basis to be skeptical

Then, ONLY posting an update about those misses 1-3 months after the fact. Solid business 101, don't miss promise dates and if you do, come forward immediately about it and more importantly never miss 2, let alone 4+ dates.

Some don't care about it, but for others it's a big issue. Everyone is entitled to come to their own conclusions based on facts.
lol I think this is the 6th or 7th time you've had to bring this up. You should just add it to your sig, and then just quote your sig.

LOL, yeah. I don't mean to keep bringing it back. Like I have said before, I am SURE once the kit is released, if numbers and power curve look good, all of this will be a laughable memory, but it irks me that everytime someone posts a comment questioning Innovate (which each individual has the liberty of doing after all its their opinion) someone has to question the individual and try to stomp them to the floor....

Again, I have not seen or heard of any issues with sprintex and bullet in Australia with the tuners here. It doesn't look like Cusco in Japan has issues with it as well. Both areas are now on sale with bulk units already made.

It appears the problem is only the American market due to tune issue.

Curious - what's unique about the American market that Innovate/Sprintex/Bullet can't take a tune from their other markets and make whatever minor adjustment is needed? I can't imagine the intake, fuel system, ECU, or emissions being that drastically different that one of ECUTek's most prolific tuners on this platform can't figure out how to tune it.

Clearly there's more to this story than meets the eye, but since everyone is under a shroud of non-disclosure, I guess we won't find out anytime soon.

I heard rumors, but nothing with evidence.

We know one thing that's different, and that's the tuner. Could the almighty, self-proclaimed master tuner have mucked this one up? I don't know. But, he's been called out 2-3 times on this (in other threads), and he has yet to defend himself.

Having been following this really closely in both Australia and Japanese forums/sites, I have seen nothing suggesting that any normal customer has received one yet, and certainly no dyno's have been posted since January. There was a picture of a guy, in Malaysia, sitting next to a bulk shipment of them laid out on pallets, but was April 30th, and nothing else has happened yet.

For example, AVO used its Japan tune and drove it/dyno tuned it here in the states and less than a month after getting their hands on the JDM tune, it was ready to go.... .

It will all be speculation until/if ever someone decides to actually tell the E! true story

Why should he? To appease a few people?

There's a lot of speculation, and the sad truth is that no one here really knows what's going on. A tune is the easier part of this products release. If it were only the tune that was the issue, then it would be resolved already. Tuners are a dime a dozen on here. I'm sure if they were desperate and the better tuner isn't available, they could at least get a working map for release. But no, that hasn't happened.

I'll add my own speculation. Anyone notice how things got really quiet once Vortech announced their upgraded compressor and people were actually making decent power? Perhaps the original power results on this kit weren't amazing and entering a market that was already dominated by a unit recently updated left them scrambling for a better design. Vortech was a lot easier to compete with when it was 215-225whp.... just saying...

I generally dislike conspiracy theorist, but man this is a GOOD one....

I want this kit as I expect it to deliver useable torque everywhere. And I expect the Stage 2 to hit a peak of 235rwhp or so.

But let's be honest here...

If Vortec used straight-cut gears in its compressor gearbox there would be a lot fewer people waiting on this blower. I know I'd have a harder time resisting my current urge to drop the hammer on a Vortec kit right now..
