Why don't you get equal length on one side and unequal on the other?

UEL! Sound plus look at JDL's. Torque dip is completely gone, and look at how much max TQ they make down low. The dyno at the end of thread that was posted was pure sex. Add in some weight reduction, LW crank pulley and flywheel along with a headerback exhaust of your choice

I have also ordered JDL's UEL for numerous reasons.
The dyno you speak of IIRC is with E85 Quote:

what would you rather have ?
the rumbling subaru burble or a the more refined smooth idle of a 4 cylinder porsche ? to each his own when it comes to this choice, both sound very good. You won't get much love from anyone if you are posting a video of your EL header + exhaust because the sound that they make doesnt really come into its own until about 6000 rpm or so. After that it becomes a song worth hearing on every drive. The UEL doesn't need nearly as much as the above, just go on youtube lol. The low pitch thumping comes across quite well on camera. |

If you want to keep the front cat, your only choice is EL.

Anyone mind giving a quick summary of the differences on UEL/EL or providing a link? I'm in the search for an aftermarket header myself so I'm trying to understand the difference as well.

Haven't seen any proof of that yet on the FA20. They seem to be about the same with a tune with the UEL having an advantage in the lower torque are.
