Why did you choose the BRZ over the FRS?

I just realized today that the black plastic mustache is functional for something. If it were a section of paint instead like the FR-S, it'd accumulate a lot of paint chips. Knicks hide better in the black plastic.

Scion offers TRD-USA parts, I don't think you can just walk to a toyota dealer and order the TRD-Japan quad tip exhaust, or the TRD-Japan coil-over kit? You'll end up with the TRD-USA Triangle tip exhaust instead. Some dealers do go the extra miles like Carson-Toyota.

Hot Lava > WRB
Had I not found a Hot Lava colored FRS I would have gotten a WRB BRZ. I like the styling of both company's just wanted the color I liked the most.

I never said it wasn't. I know they're built by the same factory (Subaru). I'm saying that the target market is different. One markets their product to the younger crowd by helping them get a "cheaper" car with no price haggling to make it easier to purchase, while the other sells to an older crowd.

I know a lot of "older" folks have the FR-S and good for them! I have no disrespect for the FR-S, but I just like the Subaru community more than the Scion community. Everyone here seems to be on the same page though

Edit: I also think that the Subaru will be worth more later as well since it's 1) more expensive already and 2) the FR-S outsell them 3-1

Because the Subaru front end makes the car look more high end "to me". Also the HIDs and the overall interior cohesiveness.

That said, it would be smokin' if the hot lava paint came on the BRZ.

I would say the "halos" in the lights, the leds, and the seat material were the deciders for me to go the BRZ route(the spoiler was a nice too). The proximity key was the decider for me to go with the limited. GOD I LOVE THAT FEATURE. I don't even think caps can express how much I like it haha.

I personally hate the factory head unit though, its such a pain to change songs without looking down from the road.

I originally wanted an FR-S, but the fact that a BRZ Premium... hell, even a BRZ Limited was cheaper than an FR-S (at least down here with the Scion dealer I was working with) sort of made it real easy to decide. The HIDs, NAV, HD/XM radio, and the auto dimming rear view mirror with compass and garage door opener (I know, this is an added option, but still came out cheaper than the FR-S) was just icing on the cake.

you are entitled to your opinion,but it's the same car. difference is,you pay MORE for the brz,because it's dressed a little nicer.hopefully it will make it worth more than the frs over time! remains to be seen. as far as the target market is concerned, so what? it's an "event phsycological" if YOU think the subaru is somehow "different/superior",then i guess in your mind ,it is! as for me,i like the frs,and i don't give a flying f**k as to "who" the car is targeted at,(i'm 62),to me the cars are close to a "dead nuts" match...just sayin'
