A while ago... I could start a list here but... recent dumb thing. Melted the rear diffuser because I didn't want to put the tips on till I had them welded. Couldn't stand looking at screws. Now I have a melted bumper haha. Sigh... put a clutch in my miata. Clutch great. Exhaust... well... it's a long story

Garage
Scrubbed paint off the rear bumper parking in a tight carport the evening I brought it home.
Did it again last night.

Caught a spike on the end of a parking abutment under the front lip on the second weekend.
Didn't hear or feel anything on the way in. Did on the way out.
Now I have a chipped tooth.

I smacked my back right wheel against a curb, but it didn't do any damage! And brand new tires too, I did an inspection, but might need to check balance, it's pulling straight on the highway

Installed the catback but the bolts it came with didn't work, but the place where I rented the lift out was closing so I had to leave it like that until I went to my friend's house later to use jack stands. Then we couldn't get the overpipe bolts off, so we broke the bolts and fucked up the threading. In that time, my exhaust parts that I had in the car scratched up my seat and center console. Now because of the bolt, there is an air leak and it is getting fixed tomorrow. Ugh.

When I was changing my rear diff fluid I didn't really have a big enough ratchet for breaking the drain plug free so I had to put some weight into it. I knew I was going to bang my knuckles if I had my hand around it so I pressed on it open-palmed so I wouldn't crush my hand. Instead it let go and my hand slid off the end and I skewered my thumb on the sheet metal in the center tunnel. Bled pretty good. Lesson learned? I got an adapter so I could use that head on a bigger handle.

Attempted to hard wire my radar detector. Took 90% of the glove box area out before realizing I had no idea what I was doing. I got hung up on what seems to be the last couple clips connected to the center console. Ran out of daylight so I'll try again wednesday. Nice going dummy.

Thanks for that. Made me laugh cause I've been there. Nothing wrong with tearing a whole bunch of shit apart and feeling completely lost. Best of luck finishing it off.

Did that with my last car. Whats more embarrassing was that I had picked up a VIP from the airport. Luckily he thought it was a riot.

I removed my originals and installed a second set of footwell lights. The second was meant to a professional install. Well it was extremely clean. Weeks later, I flip the switch before I drive off. The next thing you know, I jump out of the car with the car in 1st. It bucks and a cloud of smoke pours out the car. I don't know why, but my lights decided to short weeks after installation.

I always park my car in neutral, so the day I went to go pick up my car from the dealership for its 1000 mile inspection, my car launched itself forward onto a curb when I turned on the car. Realised they had left it park on 1st! Good thing it was a small curb and my ride height is still stock

They are supposed to leave the car the same way you dropped it off.... Not your fault.

When I had it at the top of my windshield, I just tucked the wire into the headliner then popped off the A pillar trim and slid it behind that, down to the glove box outlet. Then when I moved it to the bottom of my windshield (where I keep it now), I used a pen to shove the wire between the windshield and under the dash. You can still kinda see it if you look but nbd

I also always leave my car parked in neutral, so I never even check anymore. It's happened twice with this car where I've embarrassed myself by immediately stalling out right in front of the mechanic
