I have an appointment scheduled to get the fuel pump replaced next week. I waited 3 months for the part to come in. I'm debating if I should cancel it...

SO SOA told me there is another revised pump, they asked me to go into the local dealership and make sure that the serial number on the pump I currently have (#3) is lower than the new serial number, the part number being ordered is the same so the number they are talking about is on the pump itself.
I took the car to Beaver Scion on 5/9 and I was later called that day by SOA and told that they are ordering a newly revised pump. I asked the Scion rep why the extent of collaboration on the car ended. I faxed him the papers I found here on the site with the subaru fix and how they determined the pump plunger alignment is critical during re-assembly.
New Mexico is a three time Lemon Law state, I talked to a lawyer using my ARAG insurance. What I came to as a conclusion is that I love my car (Emma) I don't think I am going to try and take it back. As long as SOA keeps fixing the issues, I will drive it every chance I get.

I just got back from my local dealership and they told me there is, indeed, a revised TSB. I saw the paperwork and it looks like it was revised 5/8/13 and the new fix includes a new pump, a new plunger (this wasn't on the old one, I believe), as well as new hard fuel line, o-ring, and misc things. I'll be going back once the parts are in and hopefully say goodbye forever to the chirp.

Thanks for info. Subaru techinfo site shows the TSB revision dated May 9th. Gonna call my dealer tomorrow to hear what's there.

I see that the TSB is now "09-54-12R" with "R" at the end. I can't find the PDF and also can't find info for Scion.

Wow, that's great news! I just scheduled an appointment for diagnosing on Friday. The guy I was speaking for suggested I bring the bulletin. Is there any way you can give me the number, or know how I might find it?

Oh crap, I just realize this is for Subaru... I wonder how long it takes for Scion or if it's possible to use a Subaru TSB in any way...

We have a forum member here that works at a Subaru dealership, I just can't remember his username! He posted the PDF for the first chirp TSB.

I'll try to grab a copy of the TSB when I drop my car off either Friday or Monday.

I just had my pump replaced for the second time. I can't find my other invoice to compare part numbers, but here they are:

"Replaced High Pressure Fuel Pump per SSB 0023-12"

SU003-00328 PMP-FUEL.H PRS
SU003-00342 PIPE AY-FUEL DLVY
SU003-00347 GSKT- FUEL PIPE
SU003-00290 GSKT- INT MANIF
SU003-00316 GSKT- THROT CHMBR

Anyone have their invoice to see if this is actually a revised pump?

If you read infinite012's post, it sounds like you got the old TSB done. TSB number doesn't have R at the end either. Here's another post with part numbers for the old TSB.

Well, they either re-did the same exact thing they already did that didn't work, or they didn't change part numbers when fixing the pump.

I guess I'll find out when the car starts chirping again.
