Tuning for Perrin full exhaust?
I'm pretty new to all this stuff and I will admit I'm a pure newb when it comes to all the performance parts for cars. I just bought a new BRZ, love this car and choose it over a 370Z as I felt this car was a better ride and better car even though it's much lower power.
My question is, I'm going to order the Perring catback exhaust, not sure if ill go with the full kit yet or just the exhaust first, resonated. I read that you need to tune it or something to get performance from it or maybe I read wrong. Can someone explain to me how this works? Do you just put the exhaust I and drive on or is there much more too it then that? Thanks and sorry for sounding like an idiot I'm trying to learn as much as I can to really do this car up lol. |

Oh ok so how exactly do you tune it? Do you mean with the chip or ecu or whatever it's called? I'm still new at it and have no idea how you do it

I ordered the entire Perrin exhaust, catback resonated, front and over pipe. Will it do any harm to the car without tuning?

You wont see much gains w.o a header or tune. Thats the conclusion us PNW FRS/BRZ owners have come to.

Am I better off cancelling my order and just get the cat back exhaust for now since I won't be a me to get a tune for awhile. I have the full cat back, front and over pipe ordered.

But of course a tune will bring out more power in the OP/DP/CB I made 185WHP with a drop in + op/dp/cb/drop in. (before the tune my car was running extremely rich) Now I have my headers and looking to make some real power and have no torque dip. Headers is #1 for our car. Or simply get a turbo/SC kit. In the PNW we had a stock car basline on the PRE dyno at 171 WHP. Or other buddy dyno'd at 172 with a perrin exhaust + intake because his car is running super rich (no tune).

Ok so if I just get the Perrin cat back exhaust without front and over pipe and get a header it will all fit right? The head you have do you know any sites that are Canadian tht sell it? Where did you get yours?
