I see what you did there.

Put me down for an optimistic 6.2 0-60!

I'm going with 6.5 seconds.

Some other cars for comparison;
RSX type S is 6.7sec weighs 2700lbs with 200hp
RX8- R3 is 6.5sec weighs 3064lbs with 232hp
Genesis coupe 2.0t 6.8-7 sec and weighs 3294 with 210hp.

Now the 86 won't have the torque the genesis has, but it has more than the Acura and its power deliver will be way more explosive than the RX8.

A 2006 Si that's 2850 lbs, FWD and 200hp did it in 6.3 as per Motor Trend, I'm sure a good launch you can get 6.0 secs. Plenty fast for me.

Does the LSD make any difference in straight line acceleration?

My guess is that the official figure for 0-100 will be 5,9 seconds with MT

AT? I don't care

I think the mags that usually get the better times will have it down to 6.3, the worse ones maybe about 6.7.... so 6.5 on Average. 0-100km/h, say 6.7-6.9 or so... you'd probably have to suck really bad to get this past 7 secs 0-60.

With proper sticky tyres, I'm betting on about 6 even, I really doubt one would consistently get it into 5.9 or less in stock form. perhaps with a foot of roll out insideline/Motortrend style?

+1. I was personally thinking around 6.4-6.6. Not going to be super quick, but will be good enough.

A lot of you guys are looking at power to weight of other similar cars. But gearing is just as important for 0-60.

Obviously, but this thing is tasked with being a competent day to day car with decent mileage and emissions. I doubt it's going to have "evo short" gearing, not does it really need to.

You can figure out what the over all final drive is going to be from the estimated top speed, wheel size and hp numbers too.

ive been using a stopwatch on vids and ive seen 5.9 for the auto and about 5.8 for the manual, remeber the auto has full lock up 2nd-6th gear shifts are supposedly .01 seconds which gives it an advantage 2nd gear and up for the auto if geared the same

if the auto didnt shift so quickly i would say 6.3 for the auto

Maybe I'm missing something but... Why are we still guessing when the press release already said 0-100km/h in 6 seconds?

Because press releases are always right, and we have too much other stuff to talk about on this forum.
