Probably not this year due to being committed to run all the Milwaukee and LOL events. If you are close enough to La Crosse, WI or Winona, MN stop on up to one of our local events. The event schedule can be found at www.scclac.org.

On a side note, I am going to go with the 20mm bar Trev, the jump in stiffness from the 20mm to 22mm is ridiculous.
A thread specific to CS RTR sounds good and I will copy any relevant info to that location. I want to share info openly and I am glad to see others who are willing to do the same. We can be incrementally better by being competitive yet exponentially better by being cooperative.

Results and setup notes from today's 2nd Milwaukee event added.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...84&postcount=1

I placed 2nd in RTR .059 behind a very well driven MSR.

The top five cars in STX were FRS/BRZ's. My raw time was .296 behind first in STX and I would have placed 3rd in that class.

Some VERY close racing today. 1st in RTR was 5th overall on PAX and I was 10th even though we were only .059 apart.

Didn't hang out for the final results.. as my drive home is about 2.5 - 3 hours. (Marshfield).. I heard some interesting setup stuff going on your car.... Good Drive.. I couldn't seem to find any time in the afternoon session.. that and was trying to hard on the last run and totally overdrove the car..

I'm impressed with your results, but I'm puzzled/surprised at your shock settings that you mentioned on your updated post. I must be doing something wrong because my Koni settings are flipped from yours. I'm running 1/2 from soft up front and 3/4 from stiff in rear, but I do have the big Hotchkis up front. I know your results definitely showed success, but did you actually like those settings?

Thanks for the kind words Bill. Not sure what the setup stuff would be other than the significant rebound change. Our drive is just over 3 hours so definitely can relate!

The bar would definitely make a difference as yours I believe is much stiffer. Alignment could be some of it too. My car felt/feels good mid corner. It was corner entry/exit where I had to much over steer. Making the rebound changes fixed that. My only concern is I can't go any softer in the rear if I wanted and I am almost as stiff as possible in the front.

I was a little more conservative with toe than I planned to be and that may be some of the over steer. I may increase toe in so I am closer to .2 total.

I really loved the way the car drove. It was a bit loose but very fun, fast and predictable. Hopefully I can get the video processed and it will explain better than my words.

I had to really think hard about this and I think I know what it might have been. If not, I will throw it out there anyway....

The discussion came up this weekend about pump fuel. Unleaded race gas is sold at the pump and I have heard of more than one person using it to insure "good" gas and no pulled timing in stock classes.

Right now I am unaware of any restrictions in stock class running e85...just can't tune for it like the ST classes and therefore would lead to a melt down.

Blender pumps are now common place. The idea would be to use a higher percentage blend of e85 and gas. So instead of 10% ethanol, using 20 or 30%. Just enough to lean out the car by maxing the stock fuel maps/injectors. The fuel would also have more of a cooling effect and the chance of the ECU pulling timing should be less as e85 is more detonation friendly.

I have a clamp on wide band and I am going to do some testing to see what kind of AFR's the car is running and if there is room to lean things out. The big disadvantage over a tune is not being able to control how lean things are based on load. Things could still be too rich at WOT but dangerously lean at idle/part throttle or vice versa.

Based on the current rules, I believe that both unleaded race gas and blended ethanol/gas are both legal fuels to use in stock. Anyone else have different interpretations?

Ive been thinking similar after reading someone else's findings on here (cant remember the person or thread though). They were using Octane Booster and the logs were showing some boosters were helping keep the timing from pulling. Made me wonder about mixing in a little 100 octane.

Hmm... I see what you are getting at Trev but I wonder if it would really net you the result you are wanting. I know I switched from 10-15% ethanol to 0% and I feel (butt dyno) like the car runs better and has better pull at the top end on the pure gas. Like I said, butt dyno, but I think proving it would be hard either way on a dyno given the incremental increase we are looking at.

Very nice, smooth.

Your SoloStorm is setup exactly how I'd like. Can you list your equipment? Im planning my purchase now. Im mainly unsure of the best way to stably mount the phone. What Bluetooth adapter are you using and how is the phone secured?

Solo Storm - http://www.petreldata.com/product-category/software/
ODBII Reader - http://www.petreldata.com/product/pl...-obdii-reader/
10hz GPS Receiver - http://www.petreldata.com/product/qs...ooth-receiver/
Phone - Droid Razr Maxx HD
Phone mount - MOTXT926MNT
GoPro Hero 2 with Wi-Fi backpak

The phone mount is the OEM one from Verizon. It works pretty good but still has a little more movement from vibration than I would like.

I am currently using SoloStorm v1.3 *Preview* which was sent to me on May 8th. It added GoPro wireless download as well as picture-in-picture video overlay. I have been unable to get the picture-in-picture working or the Go Pro video to overlay. I used the camera overlay and then used Pinnacle Studio to overlay that with my GoPro footage.

The developer continues to add lots of additional functionality and has some really great things planned.
