Opinion on running 17x7 et40 drag dr9 white rims

Just wanted everyone's opinion on how these would look. I would run them without centre caps or with blank ones.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...=Car%2FMinivan

I chose 17x7 because I want to reuse the stock tires and I think stretch is stupid. Also I dont plan on lowering the car, so wide rim and tire combo to get "flush" is not needed for me and wouldn't look nice at stock height. These would be pushed out farther a bit already since 48 offset is stock.

These are 480 for a set with $50 mail in rebate. So $430 to change up the look, isnt too bad. the weight on these are 18.4 lbs which i think are close to stock? I know these are a rep of CE28, and I'm fine with that. Ive ran drag wheels before with no problem, dont plan on tracking it, maybe an autox event few times per year.

Car is firestorm, so the red would match nicely.

Don't like the red stripe otherwise it looks good. Why not 17x8? Doesn't make much sense to buy your wheel based on the stock tire size. Wear them out on stock wheels and buy some 17x8 with new tires that are proper size. Will also save you $80 on mount and balance.

They don't make them in 17x8. Also I just got the car, so the stock tires will last me a couple of years atleast.

Works for me, honestly. Red rim, white wheel on a Firestorm FR-S would look good.

I'm of the opinion that 17x8 and such is overkill on this car anyway. Unless you're running auto-x or tracking it 215 or 225 is more than sufficient for stock power levels, and you can run either on 17x7 or 17x7.5.

225's work better on an 8" wheel, but you can put them on a 7". I've got 17x8 with 225/45's and they're great on the street and track.

18lbs is about 2lbs lighter than stock, and these look good for the price and weight.

I think you should get some CE28n's. They come in 7.5" width. Just saying.
