I picked up my 2013 6MT Whiteout on 4/13/13 in Scottsdale, AZ. I've been reading thread after thread since so I thought I'd drop a post here.
So far this is an awesome forum. Thanks to all for Info, Pics, Feedback, etc. I too have learned a lot about this car in the last month! I'm a bit ashamed to say that with the price I ended up paying to get the FR-S early, before my tC RS 6 was paid for, I don't really have the extra funds to do any major mods. (upside down trade-in, doh!) It is what it is I guess. I did manage, however, to get a TRD Exhaust System, Rockledge Factory Alarm Upgrade, Wheel Locks, Carpeted Trunk Mat, Rear Spoiler, Rear Bumper Applique which was missing, and Window Tint all included in the purchase. I also got them to throw in a TRD Air Filter and cleaning kit, in trade for the Rear Bumper Applique that wasn't installed yet, at the last min before signing my fourth contract. Sound weird? It was a month long nightmare of a purchase and a very long story....But in the end worth it. Very worth it!

Came to the FR-S from the tC Release 8. I was at the dealer for service, and was sitting out front looking at the Five Axis FR-S (ugly, BTW) when one of the sales dudes came out to say hello. Talked a bit, and told him I was just looking while waiting for my car. After I told him how nasty looking the 5A was, we wandered over to the Scion side of the lot and looked at a white one. Turned out to be a real good salesman, but he didn't have to work very hard since I've wanted one since day one.
I've been fortunate to have a few cars in my life, and none of them have been this much fun. In fact, I'd rather go for a spin in this than on the bike. I think the FR-S lives up to the hype, and I consider it to be almost a real-deal "supercar" as-is, compared to much of what else is on the road. It's drop-dead beautiful stock, and I think it will become a classic one day. It's an awesome car, and I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to have one.

Hello FT86 Community!
Hello everyone! Just thought I would formally introduce myself. Today I pulled the trigger on a brand new 2013 Scion/Toyota FRS. Looking forward to this build/modding this thing. After hours upon hours of researching I came to the decision the FRS was the vehicle for me. I've been entertaining the idea of a E90 M3, E46 M3, IS250, S2000, STI, and finally the FRS/BRZ. The FRS was ultimately the best BANG for the BUCK so to speak.
I am coming from the Euro/BMW community & although I'll surely miss the luxury BMW's provide I for sure will not miss the cost of Maintenance/parts While the FRS is not as FAST as my prev. E46 M3 or as luxurious I love how it handles just as good if not better and has the potential to look nicer. We all know it's only a matter of time before there is an overflow of aftermarket parts for this car.Without further ado some pics of my prev. ride & my new FRS build My first E46/CBR ![]() My recently sold E46 ///M3 ![]() ![]() My newest love

Just curious. This site if full of people who spend a whole lot of money turning a car that is what it is into something else. There are a number of people who have taken a beautiful car and turned into an ugly Porche clone, or worse yet, a "ricer". The FR-S is an awesome car, but it was a bit of a downgrade in some areas compared to your BMW. Why spend the money all over again?

I'm not looking on dumping $20K or $15K on the car lol just a couple to make it look aesthetically pleasing as well as handle a little better. While overall my prev. M3 might of been the better car of the two, it was getting up there in age and living up to the "Break My Wallet" (BMW) saying. I'd much rather dump money into a more reliable/lower maintenance vehicle than a ticking time bomb

@Tromatic why are u arguing with him about HIS car?
Nice way to welcome someone to the community by bashing their decision to get rid of the car that he was bored with and decide to buy something he wants to make his own. I did the same, I must not know anything about cars either...

@Tromatic, the whole concept with Scion brand is to start with a base car and customize it. @ilpad, man, red rims looks awesome on whiteout, I think I'm going to go with red rims too

Hello! I've been a lurker here for about a year or so and have finally traded in my 2010 Fit for a Firestorm FR-S.
Been a while since I've had something to drive just for the hell of it...
