Voted for a turbo BRZ but I would prefer a supercharged BRZ.
I feel there is no problem under the hood for both cars so I can live with it.

I'm hoping for factory turbo or supercharge if available when I buy mine. probably expect 250hp or so....factory warranty and ease of smog (crucial if you live in Cali like I do)...that's all I gotta say..

Not exactly - I want a powerful, nimble car, and a brand better than hyundai (which we cant get the genesis here anyway)

That realistically only leaves (for RWD):
used Porsche Cayman,
used BMW 335i/135i
and similar

Im not sure why so few people like FI - an extra 50bhp from a relatively lightweight addition to the car, squirting out of corners quicker, newer small turbo's have little lag

to drive at the same speed of a NA version @ 100% a FI version would only need to be using 80%-90% of it's capabilities, ultimately letting the car last longer due to it not being used at 100% all the time

Opinions, opinions... gotta love forums

I'd go for a supercharger. I'll be happy with 200 horsepower NA for quite a while I'm sure, but an extra 50-70 horsepower wouldn't be so bad.

1. 250-275
2. as already stated slightly larger brakes (for the increased speed potential) and stiffer suspension (for the added weight)
3. preferably 6 months after the car debuts, but within a year would satisfy me
4. for the Scion $26k for the Subaru $28k (seems low until you compare against it's competitors)
5. I'd prefer a supercharger b/c turbochargers muffle the exhaust note too much and the power delivery is more linear. Though on the other hand better fuel mileage might be possible with the turbo. Of course my comments were excluding centrifugal superchargers. If that's what it was, well to hell with it gimme a turbo!

All in all I think my viewpoint is very similar to Infernal's. In fact if this car disappoints me I will probably end up in a used Cayman S

What the poll doesn't take into account, and which would affect these vote tallies significantly of course, is the higher price tags that the forced induction versions would carry.

Of course most people want more power. Question is, at what higher price are they still interested.

Whats wrong with 200hp? As long as it goes like stink I will be happy. I am hoping its comparable to my old e30. Loved the way that car drove. Aside from the bmw I have never had a car with more than 130 hp. Pumped either way, but leaning towards NA
