One could hope, I hope they aren't like BMWNA (people started to order "European parts" and BMWNA stepped in and stopped that.

If you wanted to keep it "OEM" ordering would be the way but aftermarket would be better

To OP, you can always order JDM style bumper and from aftermarket stores, why need to import the car all the way from Japan anyway? I'm sure someone will find a way to bring JDM parts to the state to make big money.

Just as MrVito said. Swap the badges, go with LHD E-code headlights, and wait till there's a wrecked model out there with climate controls and all. Be aware that it's not always just a matter of plugging in the new center console though. We can't really say what all makes up the system yet because we haven't seen it, but from what I've seen on other vehicles there are systems that are pretty much plug and play, and there are others that are a bit more of a pain.

You can import JDM AE86, FD3S, SW20 MR2s and ITRs legally. Since the cars were sold in the US you can import them granted you add the missing NHTS items that were installed with your car.

You can't compare the Skyline situation with other cars. The difference is the car is going to be available from Scion and Subaru. Nowadays most cars made in Europe have global safety standards that fall within our standards or close to it. So little modification will be needed, although not in the importation business, I do believe the GT86 can be imported legally.

The best thing for OP to do is get the Subaru and put Toyota front bumper on it and order online 1 of 5 headlights options available.

leather inserts on the door panels.

The dash looks like it's made from a different material as well.
Maybe the same material used in the TC?
