Find the genuine Toyota part numbers, order them. It's only cosmetic stuff, I'm sure there'll be tonnes of people around that'll supply the parts, maybe even perform the conversions fully.

If you wanted to keep it "OEM" ordering would be the way but aftermarket would be better

Just as MrVito said. Swap the badges, go with LHD E-code headlights, and wait till there's a wrecked model out there with climate controls and all. Be aware that it's not always just a matter of plugging in the new center console though. We can't really say what all makes up the system yet because we haven't seen it, but from what I've seen on other vehicles there are systems that are pretty much plug and play, and there are others that are a bit more of a pain.

Buy gt86 from Europe or Middle east as they come from factory with lhd configuration, unless you really want a rhd gt86

Yeah, R32 will be legit like real soon.
Just get the BRZ and swap bumpers and lights. I'm sure that's way cheaper. You think you won't see the originals on craigslist when ppl start swapping factory bumpers for crappy fiberglass aftermarkets like mad? |

You can import JDM AE86, FD3S, SW20 MR2s and ITRs legally. Since the cars were sold in the US you can import them granted you add the missing NHTS items that were installed with your car.
You can't compare the Skyline situation with other cars. The difference is the car is going to be available from Scion and Subaru. Nowadays most cars made in Europe have global safety standards that fall within our standards or close to it. So little modification will be needed, although not in the importation business, I do believe the GT86 can be imported legally. The best thing for OP to do is get the Subaru and put Toyota front bumper on it and order online 1 of 5 headlights options available.
