Hey guys! I'm from the Bay Area in Northern Cali. I just test drove the MT FR-S this weekend, love it! No dealer has the color I want (Whiteout), so I need to wait. Right now there are only waiting lists.

No worries.. I'm planning to buy one in October! I might just get a 2014 model. I'm currently doing all the research for all the mods I want to do.

I'm loving this site so far. I appreciate all the information and

Tony

Hi everyone...

I never really introduced myself after I joined back at the beginning of April, so here goes a quick breakdown...

3/25/13: Pulled the trigger on the FR-S by test driving a Hot Lava in manual.

4/1/13: Went back to the dealership and started negotiations, but needed to sleep on it to make sure I was really gonna do this.

4/2/13: Went back and did the deal. Located my car in Myrtle Beach, SC and signed the papers.

4/3/13: Took delivery and became a proud owner and driver of 2013 Firestorm FR-S 6MT.

After a month and a few days of owning the car, I don't know what else to say except I freakin love this car! It's my 1st RWD ever! No mods yet, but I might start with wheels & tires...and after searching the forum, I see there are many different set ups according to a driver's needs/wants. I thought I had it all figured out, but I'm rethinking the wheel game over again. For now, I'm just enjoying my car and its awesome power and handling capabilities out of the box.

I'm sorry in advance for my crappy pics and angles, but here are a few shortly after a wash & wax.

Glad you got one! It's one of the most fun cars I've owned. You're still in the break-in period, so I guess you're taking it easy, eh? Depending on your budget, yeah wheels and exhaust are pretty common mods. If on a budget, new springs and plati-dipped stock wheels can go pretty far in terms of looks. Have fun!

Glad you're alright. Nothing worse than a vehicle fire, except in an airplane. Please let us know what happened and be sure to bring it to the dealer's attention. It will then set off every alarm and whistle at Scion headquarters, possibly earning a visit from the TMS technical and legal departments.

I don't have mine yet, but maybe others can say what electrical components are in the LR area.

Hope it's fixed soon. Glad you have a dealer nearby.

Hi everyone! My name is Scotty and I just picked up my ultramarine FR-S from the dealership in Honolulu today. I've read this forum for a few months and have learned a lot from you all. I have bought a few cosmetic items (Toyota emblems, clear side markers, etc.) but am reading and learning about wheels, performance upgrades and other concerns from actual FR-S owners. Thank you for sharing all your information and I look forward to making a build journal soon.

I should introduce myself too, names Kevin located in the OC/IE and i bought a whiteout on 4-10-13. The next day did an install of a greddy evo3 exhaust and intake. Drove it without the baffle on the exhaust for a day but placed it back on. Couldnt hear anyone talking inside the vehicle. Next up is a full sebon lower cf install at the end of the month. Still debating which rims and coilovers to get. Probably stop there
