I got my six-month insurance premium today and it went down by $27. This is cool, though it doesn't matter since I'm moving into DC this month and it will go up by about 80%. Yay.

Mine went down ~$100 yearly, but I'm not moving to DC.

I'm only insured for 5000 miles per year (I take Metro to work), so my premium is already fairly low. I was mostly just surprised it went DOWN after reading threads of people saying theirs went up.

My insurance went down about $200/yr on the FR-S (different area though), even though I have mine setup for 7500+ miles per year. I was paying ~$560 every 6 months, now its $448.

I ran into Greg Gadson from the movie battleship today. Apparently he's known not from just the movie.

There was a biweekly thing at the Greene Turtle in Columbia that was going for a little bit, but I think it tapered off. I'm down for trying to get something going again on Thursday nights. That location seemed good for everyone. Pub Dog would be good too.

Why don't people use their first names on internet forums? Before this, I've pretty much just posted on www.dorkiphus.net. They require first names on signatures, and I like it. Maybe I'm too old to understand.

Oh, and my first name is John. I just hiccuped when I was setting up my account and got an extra "h" in there.

Didn't really even know that was a website

I guess its all about being anonymous, if you want to get on a first name basis then it takes it to the next social level otherwise you can remain a mysterious person of the inter webs

People on another forum know my name, and we typically use first names when talking to each other instead of quoting or mentioning. I guess it depends on the forum. I've been there for years, so we all know each other pretty well. This forum is still relatively new (to me).

A lot of the dorkiphus guys knew each other prior to joining the forum. Very few post regularly without meeting in person at some point.
