Seems like a great idea, the mats are to nice looking to wear out so fast, will have to find something to Velcro or sew on them. Thanks for the post

Love this idea, and have been wanting to recreate this for awhile now.
Unfortunately I can't seem to find a decent enough rubber floor mat that would transfer well here in Adelaide. I've looked at a couple of hardware stores. (Bunnings, Mitre 10.) but haven't seen anything quite suitable yet. Oh well, i'll keep looking! |

Hot weather = melty adhesive on the velcro. I suggest supporting it with superglue. Otherwise your matts will end up with melty melty glue. I had to redo mine due to this "hot mess" =)

So I went and got a heal pad sewed in. Local upholstery shop did a excellent job on it. I think this simple mod will really extend the life of our OEM mats.

Thanks, I actually just gave them the mat, told them what I wanted and this is what I got. So I'm not totally sure where it came from might have been something that they already had or might have been ordered.

I found a metal one on ebay, attaches with some hex screws. I really have no idea how I wore a hole straight thru my OEM mats but I didn't want to spend $$$ just to wear thru a new set.
