Shit, I just saw that the Saturday is the school. Maybe I'll be there on Sunday... I was VERY disappointed with the last UFO course.

I might be in town visiting family so I might be able to do this, just need to find my dang membership # (don't want to shell out for the weekend pass). Might still swing by to check it out and take pics, first time I've heard of them doing autoX in Stockton (I have done a "tarmacX" rallyX event there last year, fun transitions from flat gravel to tarmac, but it never came back )

I put my autoX wheels/tires on today so I didn't do that for nothing! I'll be in Marina tomorrow.

Try as I might, didn't beat @mkiisupra slowest time Looks like the pedal dance didn't do you any good, maybe just needs some more time with it . Next time, we gotta do separate run groups so I could ride along and get some pointers!

Thanks Bryan! I really only am running on the stockers to 'find' a reason to purchase proper autox tires. It was great fun running with another member who had pretty much the same stuff I had in a car.

Yes, the pedal dance did indeed induce the 'ice mode.' I left foot brake, and must have hit them too hard with some gas, as the car's brakes stiffened fullly to hard pedal. The stutter in the front (?) brakes was not an ABS lockup pulsation and even with two full pedal stabs the car (no gas) did not stop the car. Very interesting; as I went around the corner, outside the course lines and took a DNF/66 sec run.

Next Saturday only is the next Fresno SCCA autocross. Its in Atwater at the old Castle Air Force Base in the back by the current regional airpark. I will run there to scrub some more miles off the OEM tires!

I'm a noob to scca autox and I plan on attending next Sundays Oakland autox. I was wondering, how many runs would participants usually get per day?

SCCA usually does 4 runs. If you want more, you can always hang around for fun runs during lunch or at the end of the day.

You'd do well overlookedx. Sure, take an instructor for a joy ride but if you can manage Pinehurst, you and your car are set. Tracks are more forgiving than our backroads. You and the other white twin did very well on Pinehurst that day.

Thanks for that. It sure was fun keeping up with you that day!

@overlookedx Maybe we can head to a track together sometime this year. I've been tempted to track my car at least once for a while now.

Yeah definitely, we'll have to figure something out. Gotta look at what's coming up on the calendar.

For now, I'll be at autox on Sunday in Oakland.

Haha! Lets start planning it for after mid-July then! I can't be doing my car homework right now because of school homework :/ Maybe in a couple weeks I'll start looking up tracking events and dates or if someone can help us that will be nice.
