I agree with you Finch that there are some wonderful roads in the foothills. We went for a great drive a few weekends ago out in the Georgetown area. Nice windy road, no pot holes and only a dozen cars seen in the 2.5 hours it took us. When done, we were 23 miles from Tahoe. I have no problem driving out to the bay area. I lived there most of my life. Been in Stockton 13 years only. |

Being from the Bay Area myself, I can honestly say that the crime isn't so bad here. Yea Stockton has it's problems, but it's all relative. I live in the Lincoln area and it's nice. North Stockton is nice too. Spanos area. Good luck with the Job...

I was on stock tires (all season bridgestones, not primacy's). I had a 54.9, then a 66.xx (failed pedal dance 'ice mode' disaster run), a 54.4, and finally a 54.1. It's about my 4th autox with this car and I am finally learning what to expect, how to drive it best, and where it will spin. Because I was comparing/sharing/bench racing times with Bryan it kept me from having fun with a drift run but I had a blast running and gunning with him:happy0180:Really it was one of the better times (no pun, but yeah, pun intended) I have had with this car. I would say that any twin owner who wants to learn car control/limits of the vehicle should come out to any autocross. Post it up in the NorCal thread and there will be more than one who shows with another twin to ease the pain of the learning/shyness curve. Eric G |

I went to the Stockton autocross on Sunday in my fr-s.
It wast first time EVER driving at an event... Stock tires, and I went from a 66 down to a 59 during my 4 runs, never hit any cones and had a blast! I wasn't anywhere near competitive but I learned more about my car and direction of the upgrades I'd like to head in. I was the only fr-s/brz there, got a bit of attention. I was also one of 3 women in the mornings runs, which was a little intimidating. Overall, it was a blast, hopefully I can make it back to more. |

I'm originally from Lodi, just outside of Stockton, and would recommend living in Lodi and commuting in. Also, I'm coming up to Lodi tonight to pick up my FRS tomorrow from Geweke! Cant wait!
