Paint Options

I'm planning on purchasing an FRS this summer and I can't decide on the color.

I know Black typically tends to show scratches and dirt quite badly, but some shades are worse than Others.

That being said, I'm very drawn to the orange color. Does anyone have an experience or information regarding how well this paint holds up to dirt / swirls / scratches?

What might be the most forgiving color to pick from?

Yeah silver is the most low maintenance, It wont show swirls as badly as the other colors.

Keep in mind that the lava color will attract lots of attention from people and law enforcement. It also might make your car hard to sell later on if you decide to change vehicles in a few years.

I'm pretty sure the link between colors and tickets is a myth that has been debunked.

like others have said, get silver if you couldn't be bothered to tend to the paint much (ie. wash)

All the paint colors are thin. The orange looks AMAZING in person and just as good in photos BUT if you're someone who likes their paint perfect it'll annoy you...If you like the orange GET THE ORANGE, otherwise you will probably regret it every time you see one :p

My only concern with having a silver car is knowing that if it ever needs body work, it's EXTREMELY hard to match the paint.

Silver is also pretty boring.

Appreciate the input so far though guys.

I'm concerned about this Comment. Is the paint on the FRS known to be thin / weak?

The hardest color to match so far seems to be whiteout actually. To answer your last part yes. From what I've seen on some friend's cars heavy wear areas like the front bumper chip easily. Just a warning.

I don't think silver is boring. and it is the most forgiving as noted above

your next choice in my opinion would be DGM. the metallic in the paint helps to hide the swirls

From doing touchup work, I've found both white and silver to be tough to match

and driving like a jackbag will get you pulled over. not the color of your car
