Hehe BFF went from coast to coast. Def doable but will need more time and gas.

Bear Creek Rd, right off of Hwy 17 before it gets crazy twisted, is somewhat short but very exhilarating. I'll try to get video this Saturday. Luckily La Honda is there to remedy for smooth sweepers and wider lanes.

Well Im at a bachelor party this weekend,. But i drove hwy 49 the other day late at night. Too many towns and straights to be really fun. I think HWY 26 is what I was thinking. Maybe the weekend after this you all want to head out this way for a drive?

17 off Bear Creek to Bouder Creek, then come back on 9, past Skyline and continue on 9 downhill to Saratoga or back to 17, this can be fun.

Next Sun I'm headed to Laguna Seca for a track day, so probably will not also go driving on the Sat. But who knows, if it's early enough and I can get back early enough ...

btw @overlookedx has been helping me revamp the website and make it look a lot better... we added the ability to do polls so I've set up our very first poll, that will allow you to vote on where we should do our next meet/drive! Well I think we've picked the drive for this weekend, so the poll is open for a week to decide where the next one will be. Good luck and get voting! oh and Chris, the font looks a little weird on the poll, any idea how to fix it?

Perfect, I always forget about drives because there's no calendar widget here. Next Sat 6am wow, that will be the first time I've woken up that early in... I don't remember

I'd like to see randomly generated super lotto numbers (preferably the winning ones), a timeslips widget for 1/4 mile drag results, and a "pimp my ride" interactive flash where I can drop my 86 to the ground, add flashy wheels and spoilers, and give it a purple paintjob.

.

.
j/k you're doing a great job Chris.

It would be fun to do the big loop mentioned (Skyline / 9) but this Sat is calling for something more important for me. Others are welcome to continue on though. Definitely a hand over hand type of a drive...and quite a distance too. I took an open-ended lunch sometime ago and completed that loop, including La Honda West, and back down on La Honda East towards 280, took a lil over 2 hours with a couple quick stops.

As for Saturday, whomever attends I think would appreciate La Honda/Skyline a bit more than Bear Creek or anything else less traveled up there. SO, that's what I had in mind, a mix of switchbacks (Bear Creek), the ease of Skyline Blvd, and the smooth sweepers of La Honda. That said, we can meet at this Starbucks between 6a - 7a. We can depart shorty once we have whomever wants to attend.

Starbucks
624 Blossom Hill Rd, Los Gatos, CA
(408) 402-0350 ‎

From Starbucks, we will take 17 South again and exit a few minutes later onto Bear Creek Road. Left onto Bear Creek Road. Then right onto Skyline Blvd. We can include a quick stop at the "4 Corners" (Skyline & 9 junction) before continuing onto Skyline towards La Honda/Alice's Restaurant. La Honda starts just behind the restaurant so a quick stop here is welcome. Then down La Honda until a parking lot/stores appear on the right. Back up La Honda towards Alice's again. Going against gravity is just as fun as going along with it. After this, I may head towards 92 to head home.

@MyRx, from Bear Creek turn right to Skyline, that section of Skyline is a super narrow one lane , 2 way traffic road last for a few miles. It is super twisty mountain road with a lot of blind corners. That means it can be very dangerous with any on coming car and I wonder that may not run well for a group drive. ( I don't even want to go that section solo).

Thanks for looking out, much appreciated. I will change or amend the drive that morning at Starbucks depending on who shows up. There are a few options to get to Skyline Blvd.
