Yes. PCs are typically a better deal. But a Mac is going to be better suited for you since it's going to be a secondary unit specifically for video/photo editing.

That's easy. After it starts to get hard and before it burns.

video editing might be a pain in the butt considering it comes with intel graphics, I would personally go the pc route and find a refurbished hp envy or gaming laptop. The mbp is not a bad machine at all and would handle daw (as long as you don't go overboard with alot of tracks) and photo editing all day long, I just don't know if I would rely on integrated graphics for video intensive programs.

Mac is probably the way to go. Although if you're planning on doing a lot of video editing a little more RAM/faster processor may not be a bad idea. Final Cut is an amazing program and macs just make more sense to 90% of the computing public.

I would agree with you if he wasn't going to do video editing, the integrated graphics just can't compete with a dedicated card when it comes to transcoding , filters , etc. The processor is more than capable although an upgrade to faster cpu wouldn't be a bad idea at all either. If the budget was higher I'd recommend a mbp with a dedicated card ...

Nope. Most of my brake purchases go through KNS Brakes in North Carolina.

Daily driver? Centric blanks will be fine.

Video editing? Any 3d? Find a PC with Quadro FX.

Blanks will still be fine, everything else is bling for a street car, even when towing. There aren't "magical" rotors. Just get better pads and fresh fluid.

I have a feeling you're trying to justify a purchase here
