Using quotes rather then mentions as I've found I only get notifications like 1/3 of the time with those.

Just a bump and a reminder about this cruise. Anyone that hasn't made the list still interested on the 5/25 date? Everyone else able to still make it???

This is a great run - wife and I drove it in the MX-5 a few years back. And yes, be careful of speed traps. I think that's how the towns make money up there.

We took a picnic lunch and a cooler just to be sure we would be able to eat. Might be an idea for this run if you wanted to stop and eat along the way.

I remember my Mom and Dad talked about their taking over towns and tearing down houses to flood this area for the reservoir. Quite controversial back then, especially for many who lost their homes. For anyone interested there is a little history here:

Suggestions:

1. If you can, get GMRS/FRS radios instead of ones that only do FRS (better range). I'll bring 4.
2. Wong Garden in Belchertown (tasty and reasonably priced Chinese food) is on your route with plenty of parking and a nearby gas station. Grapevine Grill would be another good option (~4 miles round trip out of your way).
3. @M-17, there are several scenic photo ops on 202 and in the Quabbin (that it'd be easy to line up ~10 cars for).
4. You can't drive across Winsor Dam. You could do this alternate Quabbin loop still stopping at the main building, or you could skip the first entrance altogether.
5. There are some worthwhile backroads nearby that'd add between 10 and 40 miles to your existing loop. If you're interested, I'll give you the details the morning of the meet.
