I've done quite a few PCA events at Bowie and I've never seen anyone come close. They straighten the course out well before the islands. I've heard about people hitting them though, of course.

I do appreciate the concern though guys .

Porsche club has an AutoX in Bowie on May 25th. I signed up for that one too. They use the bottom lot that CDC doesn't use, so the courses are usually 50-60 seconds.

Here is the website for the Porsche club registration: http://pcapotomac.motorsportreg.com/
I signed up for both...thanks for the PCA linky.

Np, yea I was there when a M3 Hatch bit the dust, hit the curb so hard his STB indented the hood from the inside out.

It was not a pretty picture

BTW, when I started in the Cobra their was a big bunch of us just starting out, a few of us got serious and we had some great battles for years, everyone got faster. It occurred to me on my way home from Bowie that this "twins" thing is the same. It's really fun to have a bunch of guys in similar cars fighting it out. At CDC in the past the only thing I cared about was FTD, last weekend the only thing was beating you guy's, pretty fun.

I took the FR-S to an SCCA time trial at Summit Point two weeks ago, it we pretty good.

Feel free to say hello, I'm fun.

BTW.. if you plan on coming to Frederick keep in mind, it's my house!

Frederick
You are the person I want to grow to be as good as Fred, and it is fun to chase you every week on times. I love the competition that is growing with the twins, and have a blast talking with everyone, comparing mods, driving style, and everything else. We have the potential to pass the Miatas in attendance numbers soon, which is really cool.

Here's to more fun competition with each other, I'm already signed up for the 19th.

No problem.. here is the link to the rules:

https://pcapotomac.org/index.php?opt...id=8&Itemid=23

No special rules or anything, but it tells you what time to arrive.

Sometimes they do fun runs at the end too if they finish up early.

I'm on the PCA autox committee. I'll be there (driving my Boxster). I think my wife will be in the FR-S. She'll be one of the ladies at the registration table.

As far as the curbs. We (PCA Potomac) have had at least one, maybe two incidents of contact with the curbs. The one I know of did a lot of damage. We try to make it safe, but it's best to leave that last tenth of a second on the table when approaching the curbs.

Someone needs to tell the stadium to just jack-hammer a couple of them out so we can enjoy longer runs!

I did a BMW CCA autox at Bowie that went past the medians. They made a couple really hard right angle turns before it both times so you absolutely had to slow down a lot. It worked ok because of the layout of the course. I could see how a very inexperienced driver could still get into trouble, but if you have any kinda brain it was pretty safe.

Then again I'm the guy who somehow drifted on the first turn this past weekend... So who am I to talk!
