I actually installed the AEM tuned intake today.

The process took A LOT longer than I expected...2 hours. And, I'm still not done because the intake doesn't even fit correctly. I am trying to decide if I should return it or what. The inlet tube seems too large to fit through the airbox housing. It fits with about 2 mm of space, and they want you to fit a 10+mm rubber seal between that and the box. Needless to say it did not fit. I am kind of disappointed with this intake. I took it for a spin and the intake sounds nice, although it does feel like the car lost torque in the lower powerband and gained noticeable amount in the 5k-7.5k range

Read instructions! I thought the same, Read figured out. Also wd40 let it slide around the gasket > its tight for a reason

I read the instructions extremely carefully, step by step. I knew exactly what to do, the problem is the pieces do NOT fit.

Let me be clear, the inlet tube barely fits in the airbox hole. The problem arises when I fit the rubber seal on the airbox hole. Since there is only 1-2mm of space, if that, on the inlet tube - there was no way in h e double hockey stix this thing was going to fit with the seal. It is physically impossible. I tried the mild soap and water, tried wb40, tried every single way for 2+hours to get this one piece to fit. My fingers are so torn up. I even had a shop look at it, they concurred there was no way it would fit bc either the inlet tube is too large, the hole too small or the seal is wrong....

so I hope to get this resolved. The intake installation, besides this misfitment of pieces was super easy and super quick...

Did anyone get a real dyno of this AEM intake? Those of you that have ran the AEM intake for a while, how do you feel about it?

So if I have a unichip. What do I run with. The unichip or the module provided by aem. I would like an unbiased opinion.

Thing is chaps we all know that the car runs pretty rich as standard and likes to run leaner
so this test has to be done with the same AFR between the stock intake and the AEM as any fiddling with the MAF signal to lean things off will artificially make a gain on top of any airflow gains

I've yet to see any intake make more gains than a drop in filter when all things are equal

although I do like the look of this one

I got mine from Pep Boys and it cost me $340. I installed it the next day. Done in a hour. I just applied a little vasoline and the tube fixed just fine. I just had to cut a bit of the gasket. I also applied a small amount of silicon where the gasket met to seal that area. Plus it was a great day in South Florida.

What is that guarded switch on the passenger side strut tower brace?
