This is how much we like our AP Racing/Essex "Sprint" BBK...
This is just a sample of the pads we now stock for it. All this and more for a SINGLE aftermarket caliper...
Long term use/abuse review coming soon (we've been using it for over 6 months now)...

Which pads do you like for street?
Which pads do you like for track? Have you found a 'silver bullet' type of pad for dual use (no noise on the street, no fade on the track)?

The perfect street pad will depend on how much noise you can deal with, or how fast of a driver you are.
The DS2500 is a good cheap dual purpose pad, but they can't do long sessions on the track and they got so hot that they're forever noisy after thoroughly overheating them. |

Ditto, the Ferodo's can definitely be noisy and dusty. I've been happy with the HP+ pads on the street, Ferodo for autocross, and AP's at the track.

We have over 15 track days on the current set of pads, and they're STILL going. We'd have gone through at least 3 sets of pads with the OEM calipers and brake pad sizes, and likely a few rotors too. My personal favorite is the project mu 999 (havn't tried it on the CP8350 yet), which will make almost no noise when bedded, as will most of the pads pictured above. |
