Changing the final drive is a great improvement, Race Comp Engineering has a great thread about it.

Awesome I am putting mine in tomorrow.

My favorite mod...tough question. I try to get things that work well together so its hard to pick just one thing.

I'll say my header. Getting rid of the torque dip improved the car drastically. It's so much more fun when putting around town and not having to wring the engine to over 4500 RPM just to pass.

I don't understand why exhausts are ranking so high.... they're anywhere from $600-1200 and only offer maybe 8-10hp. As opposed to a drop-in filter for $40 that nets 5hp.

Granted I'm about to buy a Perrin exhaust myself, you just can't beat the dollar value of a drop-in filter!

Maybe because the stock exhaust is extremely quiet, and the stock tiny tips look ridiculous

Oh no, I get that, but the question was mod per dollar. To me, 10hp and a nice sound for $1000 is less of a value than 5hp and a throaty sound for $40.

Buy the perrin exhaust tips. They'll give you 5 hp each.
Also I purchased the KN drop in. No real throaty sound. So I bought a CAI instead. But I still have the KN.

I like the sound from my K&N. Probably the sound tube voodoo magic. To each their own.

Off topic, do they still hold import nights in SD? 10 years ago they were held downtown area Fridays or Saturdays. I went maybe 3 times but it was pretty cool. Owned FC RX7 back then.

I like my Greddy EVO 3 catback, looks good in the ass, then after that I love the OEM spoiler, got it from a soon-to-be Formula D drifter.

I would say the sound tube delete as well. Gets rid of all that ugly piping under the hood. My mod was free. Had a machinist turn some pieces off out of pvc, at work on the lathe. Win
