Yea I probably won't catch the guy, but I would at least know if it was a random attack or someone in the area.
You can put the camera anywhrere you want so long as you can tap power from somewhere.

For the BlackVue, you could simple spin the camera 180 degrees within its windshield mount and it'll now be facing inside the vehicle (you'll have to invert the video, of course).

On a related topic, other folks have mounted dashcams on top of the rear window looking outwards as a secondary camera, so that both front and back are always covered. Like the front, you could face that one in if you prefer.

Id like a dash cam but the prices are a little crazy right now, waiting for a group buy or something.

To be Honest.....Most of the Video here are just a Common Behavior in NYC and Houston, or Big city. Nothing Weird. I have been there, and seen that

Oh, and By The Way. In big city, if you hit the car in front of you "You will be at fault" almost 80% of the time, other 20% = Changed lane into you, or turn into you. That is why you will always yield, when you see people pulling out, and not to accelerate up. Some people having video up here, and doing the opposite. That is just wrong!

I currently use my cell phone as a dash cam lol. It really kills my battery on long drives since I always forget to plug in the charger, but it's a must. Yesterday there was an aggressive driver that was 1ft away from hitting a biker!

I've seen this happen a few times.. Once I was right behind the person that did it.. A young lady.. She didn't have a cell phone she claims.. Used mine to call 911. But it was already a traffic jam from another wreck,, she was just flooring it to accelerate then slam the brakes to stop.. I didn't get it, and was think this chick is going to run into that truck.. As soon as I thought that.. Bam lol.. But I've almost done what the beetle did, I saw traffic slowing down, didn't notice it was stopping, just slowing down, look over to check my blind spot and when I looked forward, everyone was stopped.. I have no idea how I didn't hit the car in front of me.. A lot of times on a highway, people just are not expecting traffic to just stop
