Buy the cover and swap it out. The Subaru brz is going to have the Subaru logo on it..the Subaru logo is no better looking than the scion logo..

Toyota just did the details right on the 86.

Also the video is old in the early prototype stage...they might still go with an understated 86 logo on the wheel in both the BRZ and FRS...we will find out next week.

If the steering covers of USDM and JDM/EUDM are the same, it's probably 2/4( don't remember) screws like my IS. It's pretty easy to swap.

It's just a cover. They pop right off. You will have to find the jdm 86 version.

So are the Scion's not going to have the 86 emblem on the fender?

We shall see. If that's the case, a Toyota version will definitely be a common mod.

"Also, we didn't like the square 86x86 engine, so we hope you'll enjoy the standard FB20."

They're just prolonging Scion's death and bleeding money with badge engineering. But we've all heard this story before.

But will the Subaru have the 86 on the steering wheel and fenders?

I'm thinking someone could potentially make a bit of money and a lot of friends here by selling re-badge kits containing everything necessary to make it a "Toyota."

lol I spent so much time trying to find this post again to see if the HVAC on this FR-S was the same as the GT86 or the on shown in Ca. Then I noticed it was the same colour as the one shown in Ca. Dang was kinda hoping this would be the one to be shown at the Detroit auto show.

Damn I hear ya! I just know in my hearts of hearts that scion is going to come through and allow the dual zone hvac as an option with the push start and hids/led drls and alcantra/leather seats.

Let's us buy these options alacarte!
Scion is all about customizing right?

If I got frs I will definately get the jdm steering wheel 86 airbag cover. That can't cost more than $100.

Lol, I really hope they would let use buy those options in. I'm a super noob at photoshop and that video had terrible quality, but when I tried to enhance the HVAC area it looked like it was blank. So the cars can ship like that and the dealers might be able to install the HVAC. We might need someone like WoW with more experience to double check though.

It's all good, I'm going BRZ. USDM cars were always a step down compared to the JDM cars as far as I can remember.

Still crying about the badge i see. I can live with the steering wheel as is but looks kinda of odd to me. Hoping there is some TRD steering wheel offered along with the other TRD goodies that are going to be coming out for this car.
