This happened to me once, I bruised my heel and felt a lot of pain when driving at constant speeds specially on high ways because my car is not equipped with cruise control.

Heel and toe exercises might be a good idea?

I'm 6'3' 200lbs (1.88m/90kg) I've moved the seat all over the place but same result. I think the gas pedal is too high so you need your heel down to reach up to it. maybe this design is good for heel-n-toe but not for long monotonous rides.

yeah, my right heel goes numb after about 2 hours in this car as well. I just try to use cruise control as much as I can.
And that's with my OMP driving shoes or without, doesn't matter. In fact, my driving shoes have far less padding than regular shoes, so it's worse.

Never had a problem in my car, I've done an 8 hour drive with gas breaks, etc.
I'm 6'3 150lbs, I wonder what the problem is.

Sandals. Or get one of those gel heel wrap things (seen people use them for kendo). Maybe see a doc?

While we're on topic, what are ideal comfortable driving shoes? I've seen some clark's leather shoes that look like they would work good.
I wear an old pair of New Balance 595's and a new pair of 996's. I can heel-toe better in the 595's, the 996's are kind of waffling because they aren't broken in yet. |
