I never really liked the subie crowd. There were too many smug assholes. So of course kartboy making parts for subarus got a natural negative vibe. I had nothing else to back it on.

You gave me a free one as well and I still have it in my room. I had a whiteline in there, so until I get back under the car it will be shrined off in my room

The whiteline increased noise a lot with that bushing. Hoping maybe yours isn't so loud lol

Legit reasons

That's actually the same reason why we dropped the EVO line.

There's smug assholes in every brand...

The insert is a cheap alternative to the recently released replacement mount(s).

@tom@kartboy man.. all these guys who took your bushing for free, and had no intention of putting it in. Sucks that I saw your post too late to get one. Hopefully you get more reviews soon.

Giving them away was pretty cool, though I didn't get one. I'm surprised you don't have a full set of engine mounts designed to go with it.

I received the OP's tranmission insert. I'll write a small review or I will comment when someone brings up the topic.

At the time of installing I had no grease on hand, so I actually only used water and hand soap to install it. No noise at all yet. I ordered some grease that should arrive by this weekend and i'll reinstall it at that time.

I can feel the difference with this item. It's no magic rubber but it does help the smoothness of everything. I have this, plus Perrin rear shifter bushing and Motul tranny fluid. The 3 items make shifting feel much better.

Out of all the ones we gave out i've only gotten a little bit of feed back and even less people emailing me saying thanks. Guess thats what i get for giving out free parts and paying the cost of shipping.

Tom
Tom, since the approach for the mount insert is somewhat similar to the one whiteline took which is why the shapes are roughly the same, could you please educate me on why you made that slight dip in the middle, as it seems that that will allow the sides to flex more than if it were just flat?

Also, would your mount insert work together with Perrin's tranny mount support (http://www.perrinperformance.com/p/2214) and do you think it would be a good idea or overkill?
