Any numbers other than the dyno I posted earlier I will post in the other thread. Generally that will be the better place for info, I want to keep this thread as mainly pics and a record of my mods for anybody to look at.

I want to say a quick word about Vortech's customer service since I have had such a good experience with them. These guys are batting it out of the park, I feel confident saying that I have never had better customer service anywhere.

Not only did they offer us a free upgrade to the new compressor, they also expedited the totally free service to get our new blowers to us as quickly as possible so our daily drivers would not be out of commission for long. I knew where my blower was at every step of the way, Brian@vortech kept us informed. All I paid for was my share of shipping.

Add that to the high level of community involvement and open information sharing on the system during development, and they have left me impressed.

So, Kudos to Vortech!

I got the new blower put in on Thursday, then Friday I drove across a few states for the weekend and back on Sunday, right around 1,000 miles round trip this time.

We haven't put the cars on the dyno yet, but it feels like the new blower has made the low/mid range beefier and added a good bit on top as well. I find that I put around town shifting at 2.5k now and it still feels like the car has plenty of power. On the highway the car feels pretty fast now. When I downshift to fourth it feels like getting shot out of a crossbow.

I reset my dash MPG calculator before the trip/after the install and after work today I sat at 27.0 even. For the first 30 minutes of the trip it was sitting really high around 33 (literally reset already on the highway), but then there was a feisty Kia that hurt my fuel economy quite a bit (in the teens). There were other feisty cars on the road as well, I think people may have heard that the FR-S is not a fast car. The MPGs have been dropping as I drive more miles around the city (unsurprising) as well, because I thought it was at 27.1 this morning.

I realize it's been a while since I posted a pic so here is one of midway through the original install, with my shiny black blower looking evil.

So what made you go supercharger instead of turbo? Just curious, not hating at all.

Even if you aren't hating, someone will. I don't want that discussion to happen yet again in my thread dude no offense.

I just ordered some black RPF1s 17x9 +45 along with some 17/245/40 Michelin pilot super sports. Finally. When I get them put on maybe I can bribe @F1point4 to snap some pics with his super camera for me.

I have been trying to get a copy of my last dyno showing my first run NA at Phastek vs the old blower vs the new blower to post here but @Chris@Phastek has been genuinely very busy with his personal life so it is no fault of his. When I can get one I'll post it. That is going to be my final dyno until I can get a flex fuel kit, I am done adding power to the car. Here is the Shot F1point4 got of the screen comparing our latest dyno runs, I am the red line here:

Next I will get a new android HU that runs torque and I have been looking at the Katskin leather sample book for a long time so I may pull the trigger on that as well.

Daddy has daughter duty tonight so even posting this was difficult. Ever burp a baby and post at the same time?

Old blower vs New blower.

I also got my wheels & tires put on today, Enkei RPF1's 17x9 +45 wrapped in Michelin pilot super sports 245x40. This is pulling up at home from the tire store so the tires are pretty dirty. I can really feel the difference in weight as well, I just keep being surprised at how much I can immediately feel the change to the wheels or tires.

I hate the enkei center caps so I passed on those, I have found a few other much better looking options for filling the hole that I am going to explore.
