Yes, I am very creative.
I am the exact same way. "The FRS", "The Lexus", "The Hatch", "The Vert". A friend of mine, however, tends to name his vehicles with more proper names. His F250 was named "Waylan". His E30 is named "Erna".

I agree with a number of people who have stated that naming a car is strange, however, I will say that when I refer to my car in conversation, I always use feminine pronouns rather than masculine or neutral

As we live in a world where gender specifics are frowned upon, and women are fighting tooth and nail for equality. The argument is moot.

If some guy wanted to call their car Mr. Big ****, One may call them gay. But the world is also fighting for sexual equality.

Choose a unisex name, problem solved.

On the note of car names, only elegant cars should be called females. Keep in mind that all horses that race are females. So female doesn't mean slow.

Something that is beautiful is feminine. Something that is rugged and rough is male. The Hummer is either one 'fugly' woman, or male.

The Supra is the Supra. The Mini is the Mini. The Yamaha TTR125 is a Yamaha TTR125, regardless of it being a mouthful.

I sometimes call my mom's Sienna, 'The Van', but that's only when I want to impress the ladies.

Maybe in Australia, but up here both male and female horses race.
