There are some threads on the Injen intake acting poorly for some owners, including myself. I too had the same problems as tonyfrs.

Hands down a "TRUE" CAI. Perrin CAI+inlet hose.
i figure yeah i did spend 400+ but i havent had any issues with the set up, not disconnecting negative battery. I can tell the difference right from the start pulls alot more than stock and has a nice growl to it. The only downfall is maintenance...since an oiled filter is harder to maintain than a dry but oiled works better. Easy fix only thing makes it hard is perrin designed the intake to be positioned at the front almost near the front license plate where it would be to actually suck in cold air instead of other intakes where sits in the engine bay and sucks in hot air. (personal preference and research)

I would recommend looking in Perrin CAI+inlet hose...they spend alot of time R&D and proven no tune needed after intake install. now with more bolt ons to be installed i would recommened tune but for a simple intake no tune needed. my 2.5cents

also a pain to have to take off the bumper each time to clean it.

Looks like everyone believes spending a couple bucks on a drop in out ways the hundreds spent on a CAI for 1-2hp

Perrin drop in, Perrin silicon tube and max racing duct. Filter made the most difference. Sounds great to.

For a difference of maybe a couple of HP, I don't see the advantage of spending $300-400 on a full intake system when I can get nearly those gains for $35 with a drop-in filter.

Much like the S2000, the car comes from the factory already pretty well engineered. Bolt on parts aren't going to do too much in of themselves.
