Or the AEM Truboost so you would have an EBC and boost gauge. The reason I didn't buy an AEM boost gauge was that with it going to 35 psi I knew I wouldn't be utilizing almost half the gauge sweep. That is why I have AFR on the outside of my AEM Failsafe gauge as well.

Isn't that the big Turbo used on 3.8L V6 Buicks, seems way big for our little motors or am I off base?

The GT28 is essentially a T3/T4 with a ball bearing center section. I used a T3/T4 on my 1.8L Honda as well. To me it is the perfectly sized turbo for our "little motors".

there are lots of t3/t4's around with different wheels and what not. also some are ball bearing, some aren't. generally they're good for the 300-400whp range we're dealing with here.

what are the specs of the t3/t4 that comes with the base version of this kit?

Click on the link for their product page. You have many choices for turbo... There is no one turbo. Totally up to you.

it looks like the base kit comes with the 50 trim, probably not ball bearing guessing by the price. good choice. it should actually be good for a bit more than the 400hp they show, as garrett claims it flows 46lb/min.
