I've gotten this ticket from parking enforcement in sf also. I'm skeptical about their authority to enforce a no plate violation, but they def ticket for it. end of day, just have to pay the fine. that's the price of having a good looking front clip. gotta pay to play, unfortunately.

I always ran a front plate on my WRX but in the BRZ most of the time I don't bother. If I'm going to head up to the city or go out on a Friday or Sat night I'll put in the tow hook attachment.

I think anti seize is good regardless. Wouldn't be so good if you needed to take if off and need your tow hook on when youre in a pickle. Wasnt too hard to take it off when i forgot to apply some, just didnt unscrew very easily and had to use a longer lever arm.

just installed my GrimmSpeed front mount.
I didn't have any grease or anti-seize so I applied some Mobil1 oil to the threads, hope that will work as well...
