Finally! Instructions are junk but this is a pretty easy install even for the usual dummy...

And while in the garage, i shimmed the hood and removed the ruber seal that is right by the wipers

Why did you shim the hood and remove the weather stripping? I did that to my VR-4 when I was younger because I thought it would improve engine cooling but I've come to the conclusion that it actually has the opposite effect. It's a great way to get cool air to an intake in the back of the engine bay (or to cool the fuel in a carb), but that's not applicable here. The air flowing into the back of the bay causes the low pressure zone there to increase closer to ambient pressure. Thus, the pressure differential (& airflow) across the radiator has been reduced. All that said, I never fixed this on my VR-4, and it's been fine, but I don't put that car on a road course or anything that might really tax the cooling system.

Here's a VR4 (not mine) with some string on the back of the hood to show the induction effect.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LStH0_jJHQI"]3000gt cowl induction - YouTube[/ame]

Finally, I've seen a lot of Mitsubishi pick-up tubes over the years, so this was the most interesting picture in the thread to me:

I'm shocked to see a lack of bell mouth (to reduce turbulence and improve flow) or a screen to keep big chunks out of the oil pump.

Here's what they look like on 20 year old Mitsus.

Looking forward to your thoughts. Congrats again!

I've already said it once in this thread, but I'll say it again now that the beast rumbles: the amount of talent on display here is absolutely phenomenal. If you ever swing all the way down the coast to Virginia, look me up- this car gets you a beer :happy0180:

I've got huge respect for your work, keep it up and I'll try to help (at least with my opinion, I already installed injectors and two fuel pumps wink,wink ) whenever issues come along.
