I have been critical of the Innovate gauge setup and the Full Blown gauge setup where you need a passenger to read the gauges as well. I will be critical of any gauge solution that doesn't place them at least at gauge cluster level, and I prefer them above the dash level.

In my opinion of course I don't look at my gauges every time I punch it which is from time to time .. The car is tuned with all the safety features boost cut, limits etc etc so the location won't bother me to much its still visible don't have to turn your head another direction lol

The only thing that matters is that you are happy and comfortable with it.

Do any modifications have to be done to the tray that can't be hidden afterwards? Or just drill holes for the wires? (In the event I would remove the gauges) how much would you sell this gauge pod for?

I at least glance at my failsafe the majority of times I accelerate. A quick glance down probably won't be an issue, but if you are trying to see your boost curve or make sure your AFR is good for an entire pull to 7400 RPM, then I wouldn't keep looking down, haha. Do your gauges datalog like the AEM Failsafe so you can review the data later? I am hoping to get my electronic boost controller screen mounted in that area.

Yes, I must agree that cutting drilling is a last resort option for me, especially on a new car, any idea on pricing?

Little off topic but would you be able to fab something like this to hold my google nexus 7? couple different ideas, I wouldn't want it to be a permanement mod, and not to interfere with the hvac controls if i remove my tablet?

i just put a 60mm prosport boost gauge in my driver's side vent and it's pretty awesome. air still flows (enough, not as much as before though). line of sight is great and the install was super clean. i'd prefer to have the gauges above the stock dash as stated by someone else, but there's to way to do that without looking like a d-bag.

I've been thinking about the same thing (but for my phone). I think i'm going to be printing one when I have some free time in the coming weeks.
