I see 3 lights in that strip so my guess would be the LEDs. The Toyota/Scion has them at an angle inside the headlight.

Those are the turn signals, i suppose the indicators are when you turn/flip the signal switch it comes on like the BMW/Mercedes and the newer high end car have. Iono Im just taking a wild fucking guess.

Looks like it is an LED strip I guess similar to ones on Audi's...if you don't get fogs they're still on the car pretty sweet
