I pulled the trigger Friday, and ordered the CAI and inlet tube. UPS estimates a Tuesday delivery. Was $386 shipped with Perrin's 10% presidents day sale and a 10% coupon I got with my exhaust. I can't wait to hear it in person, you lose so much from camera microphones and cheap speakers. I'm thinking I'll take the bumper off tomorrow while the car's in the garage avoiding getting snowy, less time spent installing after work once it gets here.

Definetly not as aggressive sounding as the custom one I made but I guess that is because its enclosed.

I ordered myself a Perrin resonated catback, Perrin crank pulley, Perrin inlet tube, and Perrin CAI about 10 days ago. Shipping was super fast.

I installed my catback in a family member's shop on Sunday with a new low-profile jack I bought myself and 4 jack stands. It was surprisingly easy. Perrin made an extremely high quality product here and installation was a breeze.

I loved the sound but was immediately itching to get the intake installed.

So Tuesday night I came home to another lovely box of Perrin parts which included my inlet tube and CAI. Again, part quality is top notch. Instructions were easy to read and very thorough even with a few typos . Took about two hours with the help of my brother. I wasn't in a rush and decided to remove the entire sound tube going to the cabin.

Again, INCREDIBLY pleased with the part quality. I installed an AEM CAI in an older car of mine several years ago and it was, comparatively, a bitch to get done and while I was pleased with the end result I was a little disappointed in the quality of the parts.

The SOUND of the two (catback and intake w/ inlet tube) is just AMAZING and the car DEFINITELY feels peppier now. No dynos other than my butt but it is happy.

Today I added the crank pulley to the mix and, again, I'd like to give Perrin huge compliments on the quality of the part. I know it's just a hunk of metal but it looks great and the instructions were very clear.

<3 Perrin

'Fraid I don't have any means of taking video. Driving it around more, it's definitely loud. Inside the car it's louder than my res'd cat'd headerback. It sounds good, but has a different character than my exhaust. The exhaust is very civilized, where the intake is a bit a barbarian. I've only driven about 50 miles so far though, so I need to put some more miles on before making any conclusions.

A tune is not required for the regular Perrin CAI however you will never reveal it's true potential with a stock tune.

Perrin says at some point they will release a 3" version of their CAI which will require a tune.

Installed mine today..thanks to ft86speedfactory...only concern is i ordered the inlet tube that goes with it but is on back order..whats going on perrin lets get it going...should get the inlet tube next week.

Not trying to steal sony's thread but got my perrin cai installed today and wow im impressed with the results compared to my stock. I mean anything is better than stock but i think perrin does spend alot of R&D so therefore there products shows excellent results. As for the front bumper was confused at first but when putting it back realized on how easy it is to take it off..its easier taking off the bumper than changing a tire..LOL

I also installed the CAI today along with the inlet tube. So......its REALLY loud. lol. As soon as you hit 5k or so, you get this huge loud raspy sound. I'm assuming thats normal but shit, a little more than I wanted. And it really increases the vibration of the car. I now finally get the squeaky noise in the center of my dash area when flooring it.

Also, when you put the tube into the filter, it does not go in very far. Just under the first clamp. So what was the second clamp for? I didn't examine it closely since it was covered in oil.
