So a few of the Norcal 86 DRIVE crew and I did the route recon today... some fun roads to drive for sure! But oh boy I cut it pretty close there, with only 1/3 tank of gas I was running on fumes by the time we finished the drive haha. So I am going to adjust my recommendation, to you should have at least 1/2 tank of gas when you arrive at the park! Best to stop for gas somewhere before you arrive, so those of you setting up caravans from SF, South Bay or Central Valley, please plan for that!

Lol, @MyRx and I were pretty much ready to push you down Mt. Ham. Hope the rest of the scouting crew made it back safe & sound & out of trouble (or significant other dog house lol). Had a real fun time with everybody.

Aw dang. Was the drive you guys did today posted up anywhere? I would've loved to drive it since I'm missing it at the meet

Awww so sorry Nicole, would've been cool to have ya there to enjoy the drive at least. Yeah, it was talked about somewhere at the DRIVE chat earlier in the week I think.

@PMok , @BFF - man that was awful. But at least we got our drives on earlier with a happier few (I hope) but those fumes you were stretching on PMok were just out right awful haha. I mean really, we were going slow enough and we may have had to push you too. I found dental floss (my daughter left behind) so at least we had rope to pull you uphill

Fun recon and you guys found a great few spots. We all should appreciate your efforts. I do. Couldn't make a meet anymore exciting than a handful of knowledgable volunteers.

Abolutely! Thinking about meeting up with the Madera/Fresno/Visalia crew when they come thru my area. Thats an extra 40 minutes of caravan before the Modesto meetup!
