You can buy them painted? I thought most people were painting them themselves. Where did you buy it from? I'd like to have mine in red.

Beautiful!! I think I'll eventually order this shift knob myself, but with red writing. Have you driven with it yet? One thing I'm worried about is that it would be a bit rough on the hands since the stock shift knob has soft leather padding and this is just a piece of metal.

I haven't installed it yet because I'm still at work, but it's actually much smoother than it looks, nothing like actual grip tape. I don't think there will be any issues with it being rough on the hands while driving.

nah, sorry. It's a Subaru accessory from Japan. Only came in this blue color. I'm wondering if TRD is putting out a red one or not... check japanparts.com every so often. Lots of JDM stuff.

Being as so many parts are coming out, I can see people making these too.

I've met a few of the forum members who have Flossy knobs, and it doesn't feel as rough as it looks. Haven't driven in the cars, but I can't see it being that bad at all.

Look better in person than in pics too.

Thanks for the info. I've always loved the look of the flossy knob since I first saw it. I think I'll order one myself
