I love all meguiar's stuff too. I use plenty of their washes (gold class, deep crystal) and am using their new polymer ultimate wax which is pretty swell. Heck, I used to own M#16. I'm a meguiar's enthusiast.

But a Wash+wax product is not something a person likes me needs (heck, I've even heard Barry Meguiar rag on those products); I prefer a precision wax application, not a "does all" product getting wax residue all over my trim. It's not good to get wax on trim ever.

Also, I think their other washes smell better. I actually learned it was a wash+wax product when I accidentally spilled it on my carpet and got a whiff of the meguiar's wax fragrance.. "snif sniff, is that wax?" I accidentally bought it because i wanted just a wash product. I do not like this product.

sorry for riding this thread and on people's quotes, have you tried Meguiar's Plastic-X? It's specifically made for cleaning clear plastics and removing scratches. I've used it on everything from interior plastics, headlights, to CD scratch repair.

Anyway, their NXT wax is a polymer product, so it cleaned the area a little and made it shiny with a polymer coating. Good thing you didn't try that with gold class or cleaner wax.

Also should note on topic that black plastic /= clear plastic when it comes to these products.
