Ah, whiners...be glad we got painted bumpers as standard lol.

But seriously, we pretty much have all the standard options of the JDM low spec model. We just got spoiled from all the high spec pictures in the press releases. I'm pretty sure fog lights and even the spoiler are factory accessories as most other manufacturers would have these available as packages. At least they didn't pull what Mitsubishi did with the 03-06 evo and took out LSD ACD and AYC aka the parts that really count.

I want:
Push button start
HIDs
LED daytime running lights
Better looking quality interior (which is not even possible on the scion)

Looks like the scion FR-S does have the white tach....

Someone posted that it could be a power folding button. The lock window button is at the next row, and the left/right window selector/adjustment and heating window can all be embedded to that little cylinder on the right on the top row.

Power folding mirror option is popular in Asia region and very useful.

Oh, and much as I have hated the fact that the car would be a Scion from the beginning, I think the package that they present here is a pretty damned good idea. Just hope the price is commensurate with the features.... make it 20-22k MSRP next to subaru's 24-25k and this Toyubaru will be pretty much win all round. Just make sure LSD is available, preferably standard.

Because RACECARRRRR!!!!!!!
$20k to $22k is too close to the tC. Sure the FR-S looks cheap (interior) but it ain't gonna be sold that cheap. The FR-S will be closer to $22k to $24k.

Whiners and idiots -

I think a lot of you are being a little insensitive to people that actually want the options. Calling them whiners and idiots. They have a legitimate right to complain after seeing the JDM versions and then being let down by a lesser product.

The manufactures should not tell us what we want but rather give us the option of getting what we want. This way one person can buy the cheapest FR-S they want and another person can buy the most expensive one they want.

It should be about having options. And no, buying the BRZ is not an option when someone has their heart set on buying the exact same GT 86 Japan gets.

Aftermarket -

This idea that "oh there's the aftermarket and all these missing parts will be easily available from Toyota". Or, "Buy the BRZ for the premium option."

My experience tells me some parts yes, some parts not so much.

I own a 2011 Mazda 2. The rest of the world comes with HID Projector Headlights but not in the US. You would think that I could just go buy them directly from Mazda right? WRONG. Mazda will not sell them to the US market at all. And if i do buy the HID Projector Headlights from another country Mazda will void my warranty if I install them. In fact, Mazda will NOT install them even though they are 100% a genuine Mazda part.

So who is to say that this same thing will not happen with the Scion?

Can't have your cake and eat it too..

iirc 12.8 you have to use 110 octane so it's cutting it close.

You didn't hear? That doesn't come standard with the Scion FR-S, it is only found from the factory on the Toyota 86 in Japan.
