I will say this, being a professional certified installer for 15 years i was very delighted. It was a breeze to install and gave the car the sound it should have had from the start. i have always said that oem stereos systems are aweful and have been until now(obviously some higher end systems do not apply to this). Is this one perfect no, it could use a bit more impact for the sub. I think a 10" over the 8" would solve this. The biggest thing i noticed was the dsp corrected audio up front. It really tamed the 1k spike that is way up front of the music. The tweeters were considerably smoother. Overall for the money spent you cant buy a better setup in my opinion.

It's easy. The trunk floor has slats to fold, so you fold the driver side slat first, rotate the floor a little so you can get the passenger side flap exposed from under the sub, fold that flap over, then remove.

Worst case scenario if you absolutely had to remove the sub for some reason, it's 1 allen head fastener and a thumb screw. 2 minutes and you're done.

Well I will say Yruyur has done some pretty cool things to his car. But even the tune and the E85 he once had doesnt match my favorite project on his car which is definitely the sound. I don't know a more crisp, clean, clear sound coming out of just regular car speakers. It definitely should have been this way from factory. You no longer need deadner as well which I thought he was joking when he said there was none. I will say if you want more bump to probably increase the size of the subs like Captain_Jack said but honestly for me that was all the bump I needed. If this system ever comes down a bit, I will have no hesitation in buying it. Good work man.

You can get it for about $975 from some vendors.

Still a bit steep for me at this point.

yruyur new oem audio 400

Chris just showed me his oem audio system. ....I'm buying one today! Sounds amazing! I'm just waiting for vendor to contact me back. The stock system sounds great way ith this oem system. He convinced me in just a few seconds of listening to it. Plus the fit and finish is perfect! Looks like the car came with it in there from factory. I can't wait to get mine now.

The order site has the drop down for what head unit you have. They support stock frs, bespoke, stock brz and pioneer avic/avh series.

I have it installed with a Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS. It works, but you need to talk with them before you order so they can program the DSP to match your head unit (and to ensure that it will work with the model you are considering.)

Pioneer AVIC, AVH and AppRadio series are all compatible.

Correct me if I am wrong but are the frs stock head/frs bespoke/brz units any different? I was under the impression they are the same and you just tweak the settings in your headunit (ie for bespoke set to "Natural" and "tC" mode).

Does anyone know if we will be able to buy the "upgrades" for the reference series separately if we already have the original? (specifically the two front speakers)

Yes they will offer the upgrade for only the upgrade price no hidden fees. The frs and brz have a different harness. So by selecting what deck you have they send you the correct harness.

At least as I understand it. Thus the reason people are not putting the brz nav in the frs.
