Doesn't work that way in Canada. The Canadian base WRX is $7000 more than the American base WRX. Canadians get ripped off when it comes to new cars.

Oops I was thinking of the original press release which wasn't US specific.

Well I really hope Nav is not standard. I hate paying for stuff that will be completely worthless to me Forcing Nav (a $2k option normally) down everyone's throat doesn't bode well for the pricetag.

I would think it should come in $1-1.5k less than the WRX based on the turbo and AWD. But maybe the "Premium" nature of the BRZ will put it at the same price point.

I'd like to know where this US press release without the nav system is too. I'd much rather that be an option, not standard. As for the photos on Subaru's website, I would think that they'd be showing the Limited model. You know, the whole "$25,595 ($58,000 as shown)" type of deal.

where will the Base WRX start then with it's next alliteration since they're making a coupe too it seems, Subaru is going to put two coupe at the same price point? that's such a tough decision a 4wd coupe with alot more power or a BRZ. @__@

Already explained that was my mistake. I was referencing the original PR, not a US specific one.

I'd be fine with Limited being the normal + Nav only :P I'm not sure there's enough differences to be made to have two trims though.. I doubt Subaru will sell us a more or less low spec one like the FR-S so I'm not sure how much you can do to make two trims.

I hope they don't charge extra for that Subaru Blue, I can't figure out if it's WRC blue from the Normal Subaru cars or the WRCII blue from the STI concept. I be really happy if they offer Plasma blue with no prenium price. But I like to see it first .

anybody knows how many years before they release the BRZ -STi?
How did they do it with wrx, they released it first, then how long before they release the wrx-sti?
they usually have a pattern of car model release?
thanks

I would say 1 or 2 years after the BRZ Premium roll out in Spring 2012

STIs came out two years after the WRX. WRX was 2002, STI was 2004.

Sounds about right since they only released the STI concept just a couple weeks ago.
